CROWN GREEN BOWLS REPORT

The CSSC North West regions dominates the number of qualifiers at the CSSC National Finals on Thursday. Sept 20th, at the Waterloo b.c. Blackpool
In the National Open Individual finals we have nine of the total sixteen finalists taking part.
The Qualifying events at Warrington, and Blackpool were again successful, albeit that the participation was down for the first time in years.
In the days proceedings the winner from Warrington Rob Fitzpatrick (Royal Mail, Birkenhead), will face the winner from Blackpool, Duncan Crabtree (DWP Preston) in the N.W.Regional final.
The National Team K.O competition culminates with both finalists coming from the N.W.Region with Hassra North West the current holders, taking on CSSC North Fylde
It is a full days bowling and we extend a warm welcome for any support, the admission is free.
Other Regional successes throughout the season is Veronica Lyon (Retired, Whiston) winning the CSSC Ladies merit
at Brighouse Yorkshire in July, with Mary Wrench
(HMRC, Manchester) R/Up 21-20 in the final.
Keeping in the Ladies section the CSSC Ladies Pairs winners were Jacquie Lord (HMRC Stalybridge) and Mary Wrench (HMRC Manchester) winning the title at Meersbrook b.c. Sheffield on August 24th.
Other CSSC Crown Green events that took part in the N.W.region was the Men's Rep Match vs The Federation at Ormskirk in July.
The last remaining event being the CSSC Ladies rep match vs The Federation Ladies which will be on Sunday September 16th at Walmersley Bury
