
The National finals took place at the Waterloo, Blackpool on Thursday September 20th
In the National Open Individual event from the 16 finalists, nine bowlers qualified from the North West region at the two events at the Grange Warrington and at the Raikes, Blackpool.

After succeeding to reach the final Duncan Crabtree (DWP Preston) failed narrowly to take the title, losing to Darren Lord (Telford) 18-21
Part of the final day's proceedings was the final for the North West Regional Trophy Rob Fitzpatrick (Royal Mail, Birkenhead) was the winner, with Duncan Crabtree again taking a runners up spot, in another close final 21-18.

The CSSC National team K.O. final was an all North West Region affair with Hassra North West "A" retaining their trophy against CSSC North Fylde 143-140
Veronica Lyon (Whiston) won the CSSC Ladies National merit at Hove Edge, Brighouse early in the season, but was presented with the trophy on the day from Brian Chamberlain the BCGBA President.
Linda Hough (DWP Widnes) won the £50 voucher from sponsors Hotter Comfort Shoes, by becoming the woman bowler achieving the highest position in the Individual finals

At Meresbrook b.c. Sheffield, in August Jacquie Lord (HMRC Stalybridge) and Mary Wrench (HMRC Manchester) won the CSSC Ladies Pairs.
